With regard to the subject at caption, we write to inform you that Mr. Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj S.C. has withdrawn his candidacy for the post of President of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Please find attached a letter from Mr. Maharaj which outlines the reasons for his decision.

As such, the election of Mr. Douglas L. Mendes S.C. for the post of President is unopposed, and will be confirmed at the Annual General Meeting on Friday 23 March, 2018.
