Please see attached the Notice of a Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held on the 27th September 2019 at 3.00 pm to consider whether the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago should commence judicial review proceedings against the decision of the Honourable Prime Minister not to appoint a tribunal to investigate the question whether the Honourable Chief Justice should be removed under Section 137 of the Constitution. This notice will be published in both the Daily Express and the Newsday.

The meeting will be held in the Auditorium of the Government Plaza, Port-of-Spain and will be broadcast to venues in South Trinidad, and in Tobago to facilitate a wide participation by our members, namely:

• SAN FERNANDO – Rooftop Floor, Dipnarine Rampersad & Company, 8 – 10 Gordon Street, San Fernando; anD
• TOBAGO – Location to be identified

Only those practitioner members who hold a valid Practising Certificate for the law term 2018-2019 or who produce a receipt for the 2018-2019 law term with a 2017-2018 Practising Certificate can attend and vote at the Meeting.
