Upon his return to Trinidad, he quickly established a practice in both Civil and Criminal Law becoming one of the most sought after Barristers in San Fernando.
In 1967 he was appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court under then Chief Justice Wooding. He was later elevated to the post of Justice of Appeal in 1984. He retired from the bench in 1987. His judgments are well respected and for the most part have been upheld by appellate courts.
