We write on behalf of the Criminal Justice Sector Reform Committee of the Law Association.

Mr. Rajiv Persad, the Convener of this Committee, has indicated that they are about to embark upon meetings with key stake holders, including the Chief Justice, Chief Magistrate, Commissioner of Police, Commissioner of Prisons, The Director of Public Prosecutions, The Criminal Procedure Rules Monitoring Committee The Court Facilities Unit, as well as the Legal Aid and Advisory Authority.

If members wish for them to raise any concerns that they may have in relation to these Institutions, we would appreciate if you could send your comments to us no later than May 30, 2018 as the Committee’s next meeting to discuss the matter is scheduled for June 1, 2018.
